21 days till Christmas.... where, oh, where did 2012 go? I had so many goals that I wanted to work towards this year; some I've achieved, others will be renewed for 2013. Such a busy year at work... On reviewing the year though I'm happy with my accomplishments. I though I'd share three key goals that I did manage to achieve.
One of my goals was to take more photos of my bike
(her name is Nyx). I visit many interesting landscapes and while most require hiking and aren't ameanble to reaching on two wheels, I knew there were some that with a little forethought would work. So I went a some of the way towards achieving that with a few new collections of photos of Nyx from the year, two of which I've shared here on dArt. Indeed I was surprised and honoured recently that my favourite photo of Nyx was awarded a Daily Deviation. Thank you to Kaz-D for featuring "Escapee" and thanks to those who commented and faved the photo!

Another of my goals was to extend myself with some more cityscapes. I achieved that very early in the year with a visit to South-East Queensland where I tried to dedicate myself to urban spaces. I took several photos that I'm proud of, especially in and around Brisbane and the Story Bridge, though my personal favourite is from the Gold Coast. "Early" is indeed urban, but yes, it still includes a beach and was amazingly deserted that summer morning! Unfortunately that was my only visit to the "big smoke" cities this year... I hope to do more of it in 2013.

I also (finally!!!) created a website and built a presence on Facebook. It has taken me till the latter part of the year to achieve this goal, but they are now shareable.
So PLEASE come visit me on Facebook at
PhotoByTrace and leave your link so that I can follow you too!
Or visit my website at
www.photobytrace.com. I'll be working on the website and making prints more readily available in the new year.
So what to aim for in 2013?? I'm aiming for some more low-light photos and am slowly upgrading my gear to assist with this goal. I'm also hoping to take my camera for a visit to New Zealand and perhaps one of Australia's southern states. How about you? What are your plans for 2013??? Let me know and we can compare notes this time next year
