Between a Rock n a Hard Place by PhotoByTrace Between a Rock n a Hard Place by PhotoByTrace
Between a rock and a hard place is the beauty of the falls at the Natural Arch in the Gold Coast hinterland. The waterfall flows through the roof of a cave, creating a natural arch at the front of the cave.

Same morning... different perspective

hey there! i'm new to photography and recently bought myself a canon 550d. I did a trip to the natural arch today but really struggled getting my settings right to creat this sort of result.
If you don't mind me asking, what settings did you use for this and what time of day/weather conditions was it shot in.

any information would be a great help to my learnings :)

I thought this place was familiar :D
Though for such a photogenic location, it really is hard to photograph.

Indeed it is. It is one of my favourite places on earth to spend time, but still haven't captured it in a way I'm truly happy with.

Brilliant capture. How did you get this angle? We were there a couple of weeks ago. Touring around in an endeavour to get to know our new environment.

Road out there's nothing like the ones up to Springbrook & Binna Burra...they're down right lethal!!!

I believe I may have been laying low for that one - avoiding the wires and railings is the challenge :)

Ahh... I enjoy being on two wheels, which tends to transform one's perceptions of those roads to something more akin to bliss (but yes, very well known as potentially lethal).
